Store Policies
  • Original receipt is required for all returns, exchanges and warranty repair services

  • We accept returns and exchanges 7 days from the date of purchase.

  • Exceptions to the 7 days return policy:
    • Special Order items
    • CPU, Motherboards, Memory and Hard Drives not installed by Dr. Nerd Technicians
    • Labor
    • Software or Media
    • Opened/Used Printers

  • Retailed packaged parts must have all original contents, packaging and must be in "like-new" condition.

  • A 15% restocking fee will be assessed on all returned merchandise.

  • Refunds on purchases made by credit cards will only be credited to the same credit card.

  • Refunds on purchases made by checks will require a 1 O-business day checkclearing period.

  • We offer extended warranties on most items. Ask a salesman for details.

  • Desktop/Parts warranties do not cover accidental damages.

  • Laptop warranties do not cover accidental damages or batteries.

  • There is a $5.00 fee for each account after two accounts on Windows XP systems.

  • All important data should be backed up prior to commencement of repairs
    • Data can become lost or corrupt during the normal process of spyware and virus removal, as well as during general clean up of operating systems.
    • Dr. Nerd Computers will not be responsible for any lost or corrupt data.

  • For up to 7 days you may return your computer for any issues that have recurred.

  • For up to 30 days you may return your computer for half the standard flat rate.
    • This applies from the original date of pick up.
    • This does not include further labor such as data retrieval or installation of parts, as well as the normal fee for our no-CD policy.

  • Exceptions to this policy are formats and restores.

  • Dr Nerd Computers is NOT responsible for anything left over 30 days from drop-off date.
Layaway Plans
  • 20% down is required for all layaways

  • Down payment is non-refundable

  • Layaway term is 90 days with a payment every 30 days.

  • Layaway cancellations will be charged a 15% restocking/depreciation fee in addition to the down payment

  • Layaways that are not fulfilled within the 90 day term or not paid on a monthly basis will be considered in default and all funds paid will be forfeited.
